She may have a tough time proving Swift bothered to steal from her.
@feloneouscat It might be an interesting one to watch as it was likely judge shopped to Cannon. She is trying to get that AG nomination if the evil one wins and will gladly do him another favor by getting revenge on Swift for him. Might be a silly take, but I am sticking with it for now.
@feloneouscat @sirgeefive Am I blind? The first image is not even closely resembling her allegedly infringed image. And I am sure, you find easily images from 1960 that have the same imagery, so I would argue that the accuser stole it from somebody else.
@feloneouscat @sirgeefive A picture from the 90s sitcom "Keeping Up Appearances". Swift should contact them and ask them to provide a statement that they are okay with being the inspiration for her cover. Sure they would do it, just for the giggles.
@sirgeefive
Well, it started as a $100 infringement and is now $7 million.
Cannon refuses to dismiss it because reasons.
As for copyright, I’m not exactly sure how she can make a claim. One pose is generally not enough (like claiming copyright on using “the” in a sentence or noun verb noun.
It’s farcical.
