@sfleetucker I am so sorry. I can't imagine what this must feel like to witness. 💔 I hope there will be a backlash, and that the hoped-for backlash will result in Florida being the gayest, most LGBTQ+ friendly state ever in the future.

@janallmac Vote (which I'm sure you're already doing.) Organize more voters who think like you to vote.
And remember you don't have to do it alone, or have to figure out how to do it all yourself. Join organizations who are doing those things. You may have strong talents you might not think are related to those things that can help them to forward those goals.

Ijits picked the wrong fight for a lot of reasons. 25,000+ reasons (ALA membership guesstimate).
This is such a clear violation of the first amendment. In fact, there was a case in the '80s that specifically ruled that the government can't remove books from libraries for political reasons.
Wonder if our current SCOTUS would uphold that.

Arbitrary book bans can go any direction. It will be pointed out (again) to these dimmest of bulbs.
It's usually pretty easy to get onto the local public library Board. If one is so inclined.
@tyghebright Given they reversed Roe, I wouldn't trust it. We need to remind those librarians that the bible references homosexuals.
