I finally found out how to make a lidocaine patch stay where I put it! 🎉 …at least while I’m awake. I place it on my hip, (which is where I need it the most right now), then I hold my hand against it as I move around, sit down or lay down on the couch. Do this several times and it stays where I need it to.

Now, as for staying on my lower back, I haven’t a clue how that’s supposed to work because they pull away from my skin the second I bend over or stand up.

@see_the_sus I usually try to wear something close-fitting over them when I use. For the lower back, try leggings! If they carry your size range, Torrid's are really nice fabric and comfy to wear.

@evistre

I’ll keep this in mind for down the road when I have some extra money. Thanks for the tip!

@see_the_sus <333 Best of luck! The big tip with leggings is they should be looooong, going up to your natural waist.

@see_the_sus Oh! Also, you could try medical tape. I've used that several times. Make sure the skin underneath is relatively clean of oils.

@evistre

Ugh, I HATE high-waist pants! I have a very short inseam which only works well with low-rise, but I’ll only be wearing leggings indoors so I can suffer the indignation. 😂

@evistre @see_the_sus Definitely second the Torrid leggings. I normally hate legging, but the Torrid ones I love. They fit nice and they breathe.

@see_the_sus Have you tried salonpas patches? They stick very well for me.

@misslovelymess

That’s the brand I have. I’ve used them and Icy Hot and had the same issue. I must have uncooperative skin. 😆

@see_the_sus Darn it. I get, they can be super helpful but it would be problematic for them not to stick. Duct tape? 😂

@misslovelymess

Funny you should mention that ‘cause I was thinking the same thing a few days ago! 😆 But then I remembered how painful the stuff rips off and I’ve got enough pain already. 😏

@see_the_sus

Try this - no patch needed! (mine slipped all over the place, too)

TYLENOL® PRECISE™ Maximum Strength 4% Lidocaine Pain Relieving Cream

I added the picture from the box because the roller balls give you nice message as you roll the cream into exactly where you want it! For me, it works great. Pinch the cap to open - easy gentle pinch not too hard to open.

I'm not in any way connected with produce except as a satisfied consumer!

@see_the_sus

Oops! Not "produce" = Product (hate auto-correct, needless to say)!

@Gladari

How does it smell? I have Biofreeze, roller and spray, and the stuff has got quite the odor! I only use it when I have no plans on being out in public.

@see_the_sus

Odorless (for me - all things can react differently on different people's skin chemistry).

I always get "no scent" laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc. Cannot tolerate fragrances since I had a extremely bad migraine when in the hospital for surgery due to one of the medications! Since then - no fragrances (and this is terrible for a former Avon Lady)!

@Gladari

Thanks, I'll put the cream on my shopping list. 🙂
I too use fragrance-free laundry products but it's only because I see no reason to add "Fresh Burst," "Fresh Air," or "Fresh Blast" to the perfume I wear. A bit of an overload.

@see_the_sus

Hope it works as well for you as it has for me. 🙂

@Netherbury

I do too but I'm not going to be staying in that position and that's when the patches tend to start curling off at the ends and then eventually stick to itself.
