In Paul's letter to the Romans he reveals he is actually a time traveler as he says he is going to "Spain" when nobody called it "Spain" until much later after his death. (Ch. 15) "And again he sayeth, one point twenty one gigawatts!" Huey Lewis and the News music plays in the distance.

I like how with this it is super easy for believers to be like, "oh that was just a mis-translation, obviously" but they can't accept that the entire world was covered in a flood was a mistake/exaggeration as well.

If you were a time traveler wouldn't you go back to bible times and try to get yourself talked about? Let alone become an apostle?

@scottyorange and he was wearing Jane Fonda’s leg warmers, which made everyone roll their eyes.

@scottyorange

Time travelling? Sure.
I'd go to 1940 and look for a way to prevent the conception of Dick Cheney.

@scottyorange No way, you'd just have to slip up once by telling someone you want to get stoned.

@scottyorange as long as I could return when i want to I'd go back to then to gather all the evidence needed to prove Christianity is based on nothing but ancient (at that time) mythologies with no basis in reality.

@NorthernInvader that would be an interesting thing to discuss. What would you be able to bring back?

@scottyorange photographs? time travel is not possible but if you are going to pretend it is then why not say tech gear can travel with you.

@NorthernInvader but we live in a world where photos can be faked. Would ppl believe your photos are legit?

@scottyorange We already have the tech to determine if a photo or video is fake - I'd imagine if we had time travel that tech would be even better.
