It must be national construction day. I must have passed 8 different spots where they're doing road work of some kind between home and work today. Which is about a 20 minute drive. That's gotta be some kinda record.

Saw Boys Like Girls and Dashboard Confessional tonight and it was a blast! However.. I gotta say it. If you are a very tall person at a concert.. please check behind you for short people. I spent the majority of the show looking at a dude's back. Us height challenged people like to see what's going on too.

Why does my mother always decide that the moment I'm trying to make myself a meal, that's when she's going to insert herself into the kitchen directly in the way doing some task that could have waited until I'm done? She does it so often it has to be intentional.

I just went in circles for far too long trying to figure out where the redemption key for the set of books I just bought through Humble Bundle was. Why do they make it so hard? Can't it just say "click here to show key" instead of making me feel like a dummy? I'm too tired for this tonight.

Anyone else watching Rings of Power and also want to punch both Pharazôn and Kemen in their stupid faces?? But especially Kemen?

Had a dream where in it someone was basically like "what's that sound?" and that sound turned out to be my alarm going off for 3 minutes straight and I didn't even realize. Oops? I'm so tired.

Today was rough. Very sweet older client said goodbye to her elderly kitty and I spent my night making sure the clay pawprint I made was absolutely perfect for her.

I'm alone at the desk again today and things *could* be better. This is exhausting.

Who likes nerdy book things!? I got myself a little treat because things have been so crazy lately at work. The spiraling letters say "So comes snow after fire, and even dragons have their endings." A quote from The Hobbit.

Still trying to figure out how something I ordered started in FL and then went to CA and is still kinda simmering there before it heads back to the East Coast again to me in CT. The USPS makes no sense sometimes.

I'm really getting tired of being the person at work that always gets the bad deal. Whenever we've been short staffed over the years, it's me picking up the slack. This morning I get a text asking if I can come in early because the other receptionist is sick. But they wait until I only have an hour left before I go in anyway to ask me? Oh come on.

Ok, new favorite book. A character finally asked the question we all want to know the answer to. How do soldiers poop in armor?

I just went down a rabbit hole trying to find the candle I bought years ago through finding it on Instagram that had a moonstone at the bottom so once the candle was done, I got a little surprise to dig out. Managed to track the seller down and now I can get another one!!! It smelled so good and the stone is so pretty.

Got my medal holders hung up! My first one was a "Best Friends" virtual race I completed with Nimoy in 2018, then the Jurassic Park one was from the 25th anniversary also in 2018. When I finish my next one, it has a spot ready!

I do so love helping someone do something only to have them throw their hands up when I try to explain why their idea won't work and then I have to undo everything I just did. Love it.

While I was outside changing the little garden flag in the front yard, these cute little chickadees kept landing on the empty bird feeders and looking at me. They didn't even fly away and I was standing 2 feet away. So I told them "ok ok, hang on a second..." and went to get more birdseed off the back porch. Then I had to lure them back with some bird calls from the Audubon app. What have I become? 😂
