"On the wall behind him, Jesus was hung up like a door knocker."

Now there's a description of a church I haven't heard before.

About 45 minutes later and I still have a pile of little paper strips to roll up and add to the glass. Making progress though.

Planning out how to decide what book I'll read next once I finish my alphabet challenge. I have x, y and z left. After those, I'll reach into this glass full of little rolled up pieces of paper, each with a book title on it. It's gonna be crazy how full of tiny scrolls this glass gets. I'll update once I'm done.

Sooooo the bookcase my boyfriend got me for Valentine's Day is full already. Oops? At least the books are out of the boxes I had them piled in.

Ok, I'm already hooked on this book. In the first chapter I find out the main character does search and rescue with her bloodhound named Greta to find missing kids. I'm sold.

Onto my next book! I've been trying to finish the A to Z challenge I started last year, and I've made it to V! I've never read a Jodi Picoult book, so here's hoping!

Discovered a new book store! This kid (I say kid because I could probably be his mother) started the business in 2021 and rents a warehouse space. Only opens monthly for sales and people FLOCK to it. So chaotic but fun to look for things for my growing library.

Finished The Time Collector, and it had an ending I wasn't expecting, but as it approached I started suspecting. Onto my next read through the alphabet.

Onto the next book of 2024. This was a random purchase from the sale section of Barnes & Noble several years ago. Finally getting around to it.

I usually need some background noise of some kind when I'm reading. I've never really been a fan of silence. Sometimes it's low music or the TV on just as ambient noise.

Anyone else a Thriftbooks shopper and get stupid excited when you earn that free book?

Have a "lunch & learn" at work today which is nice because we get free lunch and paid to listen to a rep talk about a new product.. but it means I lose my 30 minute reading break. Looks like I make it a pre-bed reading break instead.
