Randomly found pictures from one year we went to the group Thanksgiving dinner at church because no one wanted to cook. I don't have a lot of pictures with my dad when we're not tiny babies, so these were a nice find. Ahh, the 90s.

I'm looking into how much people are asking for the model cars my dad collected. Holy poop. He has at least a dozen different ones.

My dad hasn't been home since before Christmas and it's really hitting me hard lately. He's in a geriatric psych unit while they figure out what meds will manage his outbursts so he can safely go to memory care. I miss taking pictures like this. He may not have been able to remember Nimoy's name the last couple years, but they were buddies and he misses my dad too.

I've been going through old family photos and scanning them into the computer and fixing the color on the ones that are super orange-looking from age. It's been a lot of fun and I've found some great ones. Like this one of my paternal grandparents from my parents' wedding.

I'm doing an A to Z Reading Challenge this year and this is my "B" book. Pretty interesting so far! If you have any interest in true crime, you may like it. It's a memoir of a psychiatrist's time working at Napa State Hospital.

For lunch today we tried the new ramen place nearby and while pricey, it was worth it. I got braised beef noodles.

One of my friends uses Facebook the way the rest of us use places like this or the bird site. The latest post is about how Big Fish is Tim Burton's only good movie and the rest of them suck. I might have to rethink this friendship. She's talking nonsense now. 🀣

I like to think I'm a nice person. I try to help people out when I can. With my animal experience, that usually manifests itself as "can you cut my dog's nails?" or some friend of theirs dog's nails or their neighbor's dog's nails or whatever. Fine. But, for the love of dog.. if I'm taking time on my way home from work.. you better have your shit together. I'm not chasing your dog all over the living room. HOLD HIM STILL! It took me 30 mins for a 5 minute task.

My family had an extensive record collection when I was growing up and I keep meaning to grow my own collection. I miss the gentle popping and cracking. Sooo this bad boy is mine now.

Finished my first book of my A to Z Challenge for this year. Not bad to get through it in 11 days. I can do this!! Aftermath is LeVar Burton's first novel and it was pretty good! For "B", I'm going in a totally different direction with Behind the Gates of Gomorrah by Stephen Seager MD. Wish me luck! 🀣

My mother learned today that you shouldn't use a canned air duster on a paper shredder. It makes the shredder go boom and sets the paper in the basket on fire. Learn from my mother and don't do dumb things, please?

If the IV pump in back would stop singing me the song of its people, that would be great! There aren't enough staff here to run back there and fix it every 10 minutes. If you know, you know.
