FDR's Plan for SCOTUS: "reorganize the federal judiciary by adding a new justice each time a justice reached age 70 & failed to retire."
Currently give POTUS Biden 4 Justices:
Roberts = 69
Thomas = 75
Alito = 74
Sotomayor = 69
If they stay, 4 seats added = 13 Justices. When the number was set at 9, there were 9 Circuit Courts at that time. Now there are 13 Circuit Courts.
Go for it Joe! It's within the official duties of your office!

Well, my loves, it is time to dust off an old hashtag of mine because we may be sliding into #AmericanAuthoritarianism in new ways. But I also want to offer a note of #hope because as a 50-something who grew up in the dying days of the Eastern Block, I know it is possible to have intellectual freedom and joy and love in dictatorship. It is fucking hard but it is possible and a litmus test of who your people really are. And democracy does return.
