When I was a child, in the storybooks witches were always depicted as women with cats on their shoulders. I remember thinking that it must be super cool to have a cat perched on your shoulder. Well #Elsa is on the back of my neck and it is adorable, super cool, and highly uncomfortable.
Lunch is a Swiss cheese omelette and steamed butternut squash with Feta. Have I mentioned I like #cheese ?
My laptop misbehaved and I had to wrestle it. #Neville came to offer support by placing his chin on my knee as I was sitting on the floor.

I tripped over #Neville and I apologized about as profusely as a war criminal should. He listened to all of it very carefully, then wanted to sit on my lap, no doubt to make sure I really meant the apologies. 🤦♀️😜

I am far from a Swiftie but when the double album came out, I listened to all of it in one sitting. And cried. A lot. Her paradox of private heartbreak and professional success stands on its head because my career was destroyed while my home front is solid. The anguish speaks to me. So here is "So long, London" for a good cry. On a day of sinuses and asthma misbehaving in stereo.

I am not on X / Birdshite any longer but @junation tells me that the official X account of the Olympics has stated that the tableau was honoring Bacchus / Dionysus - it was not about the Last Supper at all. But Christianists think it is always about them. Sigh.
I didn't watch the opening ceremony for the #Olympics2024 but tried to catch up on the subject matter of controversy. Who said they were trying to parody the Last Supper? Could they have wanted to depict it as the inclusion of the marginalized? Why have this whole hoopla rather than recognize the original message?
