I thought a fly was in the house, heard buzzing, didn't pay too much attention. did: he was worried, agitated, barking in a yapping kind of way. I thought that was strange for a fly, so I started to pay attention. It was a paper wasp. The type that stung me in 2016 and sent me to the ER with anaphylactic shock. The type at the origin of my ongoing immunotherapy treatment with venom injections to improve my survival odds. Just how much does my Baby Boy know? šŸ„¹šŸ˜šŸ’–

Yo Southerners, your weather, in case you were looking for it, is in our front yard and it is behaving like an asshat.

Tried an experiment, got a lesson. Used a can of *diet* orange soda with a yellow cake mix and white chocolate chips for a lazy and light orange cake. Used sugar-free frosting. But the chemistry must've been off and the whole thing crumbled. Now to pretend we are one of those restaurants that serve cake bites in little glasses.

Good morning CoSo!
I saw this on a friend's Facebook and lifted it because it spoke to me and I think it will speak to some folks here

The Queer Revival was absolutely awesome! I highly recommend following i.V King on Spotify or Instagram or even Facebook. She is awesome. Oh and the social hour before the show had not only a cash bar but also a rainbow photo booth, so here I am with my love and with a couple of friends. The friend with whom we share rainbow fans is the other co-founder of our bellydance circle.

Guyzzz! I tried to wear *makeup* for tonight! Better yet, I tried to take selfies to show you. Only some of them look like I should promise not to turn anyone into a toad. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø It is hard to be an aging cis woman at an event with young drag queens. I will let you know how the show was.

Tonight, with @junation we are going to go see The Queer Revival (thequeerrevival.com/ ), as you do in Missouri as a middle-aged opposite-sex couple. I have rainbows in my , as you do on such a festive occasion. Btw in our town nobody will bat an eye when there is a drag show in a church. The first Pride in town was in 2003 and it was at a church. We were among the organizers. Tonight is drag show 3 or 4 that we will see in a church. Tiny ray of hope, here we go.

Today I had a lovely lengthy lunch with the friend with whom we started talking about a bellydance circle a full year ago. The circle is up and running and she brought me a present today: a triquetra pendant with a snake circle. We are Blacksnake Bellydance Circle because geographically we are in the Blacksnake Hills. I am happy and and this is my positive post.

I understand that I may go to Hell for this, but I got a sunhat and then fed him and all others an unholy number of treats to get these pictures.

Well the job I wanted to apply to, seems to have disappeared. So I applied to another one and also did the resume bank / talent community at this second employer. for the day not necessarily done but started. Now the doc visit. Oh and I also have this adorable shirt I am wearing all day because we tonight. I am working pretty fucking hard on holding my head above water and not fall apart.

is not fun, and I have been picking through LinkedIn for job postings. But I have this guy encouraging me ā£ļø

Continued chronicle of the long weekend of canceled travel: took blurry AF selfies with a tiny wiggly KITTEH who is freshly adopted by some friends, and lunch with said friends contained liquid dessert. Now we go to the movies.

Mozart is the lead scientist on a fascinating experiment that just revealed that if you drop a 12-pack of soda on the floor from the full height of a chest freezer, the cans do NOT explode.

Continuing the chronicles of the long weekend and the canceled trip: disheveled, wearing a zip up hoodie over PJs, reading glasses, w dogs just fed lying about, partner still asleep, coffee at hand, and a book. Recharging batteries at home.

I guess I am chronicling our weekend now because the trip didn't happen and I want a record of how we are making the most of it. After the jazz brunch, we went to the city market on a whim, bought Napoleon's, and I got a three-pack of surprise pouches, thinking they will be good for jewelry. I am not the owner of these trinkets only, but also of a ridiculously happy inner child.
