We were going to be away this weekend, but we stayed home for our diabetic cat. Still, @junation and I are currently hiding from everyone who knows us in the area, at a jazz brunch. Cat is improving, we are doing this as one of our consolation prizes.
I have an incredibly hard time asking for things. I grew up in a culture where help is offered, not asked for. A communitarian culture. So in this individualistic culture, I really struggle. But this is why we have therapy and I am working on it. So I told @junation that had we traveled this weekend, I'd've wanted a souvenir and would like a present instead because I am really sad. I present my new green turquoise.
Weekend getaway cancelled, but our diabetic cat is slowly improving. The Penicillin injections are going well. So we went shopping (highly unusual for @junation ) and to grab lunch, as tired pet parents do.
Just recorded the last video for my FB group - four FB Live videos about dogs going blind, in the Lhasa Apso group I am in. A project I created because I wanted to help and because this is personal: I am partly blind in my left eye. So here is a selfie with #Neville , the reason I got into the Lhasa Apso world, from earlier today.

The getaway on the long weekend was kind of inspiring me to hold it together. Then diabetic kitty got sick, and trip got canceled and property management company Vacasa were dicks and didn't even allow a reschedule. Kitty fur child is in the beginning stages of pancreatitis. I will be injecting him w Penicillin for days. @junation will hold him and bleed. So absolutely got a bento box and plum wine thank you very much.
#Gandalf is our oldest cat, turning 15 in December. Here, he is napping with #Zoli watching over him. Zoli, who will turn two at the end of July, who was feral when we found him, and who is coming into his own beautifully. I am focusing on them intentionally because I am otherwise in a bad bad place. #ThereIsGoodInTheWorld #CatsofCoSo
This is a router but we call it a Google Mushroom. We now have three of them. ADT gifted them at their cost. Because six weeks after installation, their fucking doorbell camera was not working. So they made a Google network with amazing speeds just so the doorbell camera would deign do its fucking job. If this doesn't fix it, they are letting us out of our contract. I got us this deal. By speaking to a manager. For 32 minutes. Never once raising my voice. I never say this, but I am proud of me.
My censor is cute. But he wants to check what I am working on.

We are going away for the long weekend coming, and Goddess of Caffeine help me, step 1 in getting ready is testing the small coffee maker. Because on the off chance the VRBO has a coffee maker with a pot, a have a travel size single serve. Because I have #FirstWorldProblems regarding #caffeine . #CaffeineClub

Let me start the week with a frivolous #manicure post: wrapped my nails Friday and now they are showing signs of wear - because I assembled a portable metal fire pit yesterday!!! I think this is still pretty damn good for that.

Yesterday, we went to the local Renaissance Festival. It is not exactly our scene, but we ran into folks we like, we saw fire spinning, aerial performances, and a joust. All of those were done very very well. @junation must've gotten his brain addled by the sun, though, because he suggested that we should look at the merchants. So today I am wearing my new mood bead necklace.
Weeds grow flowers. This is my #meditation for the day. I hope it will prove helpful as I go through what seems like a forever rough patch.

I just turned laundry over into the dryer - but not before finding this in the first load. Went through washer and dryer in a cross-body bag I was washing. That is a summary of how things are going.
