Hello all.

Still taking a break, but I thought I'd hop on to regale you with my latest health travesty.

Last night I accidentally bit my tongue. No biggie, right? Wrong. Two hours later my tongue was swollen. Two hours after that I tell my wife to take me to the ER. By then everything in my mouth was swollen. Then I was admitted to a room for observation. They think that my Lisinopril is what caused the swelling from the bite. So, change of BP meds, and I'm going home now after dinner.

Well, that ain't good. Glad they figured it out quickly.

I'll echo @publickovacs : BP meds are a double edged sword. Yes, they keep your BP down, but they do all sorts of other things as well. I was on Metoprolol for a while and thought that my lung disease was rapidly progressing since I spent half my waking hours gasping for air. Nobody seemed to have realized before prescribing it to me that you really shouldn't give beta-blockers to people with compromised lungs....

O. M. G. I am so sorry - it makes me mad when meds are prescribed without sufficient care
