My new identity: Cancer Karen. Middle-aged, Midwestern, glares at valets who don't drive stick, angry at grammatical errors in hospital signage, resentful at having to walk through the foyer of Labor and Delivery en route to radiation for uterine , wears a hat handmade by a friend and lots of Eddie Bauer, vivacious or sobbing and occasionally both.

@publickovacs I'm saddened to hear you're having to battle cancer. I'm a 7 year survivor of breast and colon cancer. Considering the billions poured into research/cure it's a bitch we're not there yet. But the men sure did get their stupid blue pill! Best vibes coming your way

@DCliffo
Thank you for the solidarity and encouragement šŸ§” I agree with your position all the more because I have / had uterine cancer and everything you wrote is especially true about this type

@publickovacs My daughter has battled several cancers; uterine, ovary; colon; breast. She's a warrior. She has had to scream at Dr's to get their attention. Especially when she had ovarian cancer in her early 20's. Sadly; in many parts of the country; not much has changed.

My goodness that is a whole whole lot. Do you and / or her have the Lynch Syndrome gene mutation? Sorry, that is a super personal question but Lynch is something we talk about a lot in my current circles
