@FrankCannon @q00w2 haven’t walked along this before. Bit nostalgic bumping into my Grandas old house. Couldn’t have taken you to it by road, I was 6 when they moved. Nice surprise.

@FrankCannon @q00w2 mad, memories flooding back. Been tarted up a bit with that extension. Posh end of Tullycarnet πŸ˜‚

@process πŸ˜‚ Many a night skulking around there without the public knowing.Used to be on duty sometimes there too.🀣🀣 @q00w2

@FrankCannon @process

My homesteads tend to follow this pattern in any town or city … πŸ˜‚ (These were my addresses in Portstewart, before it got all tarted up)

@q00w2 If you remember it as being shite back then,it's changed a lot......it's shitter.πŸ˜‚ @process

@q00w2 Full of the most despicable people now.Like Cherry Valley On-Sea. @process

@FrankCannon @process

My nana was one of those people … in private she had a heavily vernacular speech and accent, but in 'company' she talked like she had a mouthful of marbles. πŸ˜‚

@FrankCannon @q00w2 @process "The Bouquet Residence"! Yes,
even in SW, my mother used to do that. Coarse as sand at home, but smooth as butter and trying to be "posh" when someone came to the door!

@FrankCannon @q00w2 @process Me? Someone comes to my door, and I'm like, "heya, alright?"

@homebird @FrankCannon @q00w2 My accent does flip. Reverts to a strong enough Belfast accent if I'm talking to the right person. Also goes a bit Country if I'm in that direction. Never intentional but I put it down to having moved loads when I was younger. I don't have a defined accent though Mrs says I'm pretty much pure Belfast these days lol

@process @FrankCannon @q00w2 Having grown up in Wales, moved to Scotland at 18 years old, having spent a lot of time with American and Australian folk, my accent is a real mix! The place I live has its own quirky accent too, so that comes out now and then. But it's funny, people still say to me, underneath all the mix, I still sound Welsh! I think it depends who I am speaking with at the time. I tend to mimic theirs a lot! Quite naturally, without trying.

@homebird More than likely to get "and who the fuck are you?" from me. @q00w2 @process

Does the public toilet at the top of the Prom still hang over the Catholic church? That always made me laugh, in spite of not giving a shit about the religious politics … πŸ˜‚

@q00w2 @FrankCannon πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It was bleak. This was emergency housing, early 90s. No one wanted to live up there.

I lived the street before that, top of the hill. Worked in a pub and closing time, first shift, Manager says β€œlift home?”

Told him my address. β€œI’ll get you a taxi”

πŸ˜‚

Taxi came, took me to the bottom of the hill. β€œFar as I’m taking you”

πŸ˜‚ To be fair, they spruced it up very nicely on the inside, but if I had to come home to that every day I'd be looking for where to sling the rope over. πŸ˜‚

@q00w2 @FrankCannon place I just moved from was pretty much that but terrace. 2 up 2 down. I’ve moved way up in the world. now… Garden and a Garage. Proper grown up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@process @FrankCannon

Yeah, a house is not a home without a garden of some sortβ€”even if it's just a few square metres …

@q00w2 Pretty much how we felt about the house in Belfast. @process

@process coming to Belfast thos summer. What would you recommend seeing?

@process just one day. We are making our way around the British isles visiting a number of cities.

@OldDude71 one day... I'd check out the Ulster Museum just for the local history angle. It's nice up there by the University if the weather is good.

Titanic Belfast is also a good experience though why we put so much emphasis on a boat that sunk is beyond me.

Belfast Center - grab a pint at the Duke Of York. Really nice area round there. At the minute the Cathedral Quarter is probably the best kept area.

If you are here Saturday or Sunday I'd recommend St Georges Market.

@process we enjoy meeting people around the world and talking to them. Surprising how much we are all the same despite our differences.

@OldDude71 πŸ’― DM me closer to the time and if I'm about I'd love to grab a pint

For meeting people and if the weathers good look into the Sunflower Bar. It's nice and very friendly.
