@process @FrankCannon @q00w2 Having grown up in Wales, moved to Scotland at 18 years old, having spent a lot of time with American and Australian folk, my accent is a real mix! The place I live has its own quirky accent too, so that comes out now and then. But it's funny, people still say to me, underneath all the mix, I still sound Welsh! I think it depends who I am speaking with at the time. I tend to mimic theirs a lot! Quite naturally, without trying.

Cut away all the scouse and all yer left with is more scouse. π

Well, to be fair, I'd need a translator too if I was in Alabamaβto understand them. π

"Not from around these here parts, is he?" Maybe you could try speaking to them in banjo β¦

You know you'd go viral if you made some YT shorts about your intercultural encounters..
@FrankCannon @LiseL @homebird @process
They'd prolly just send you to Canada. π
@FrankCannon @LiseL @homebird @process
It's like getting an upgrade, right? π
@q00w2 @FrankCannon @homebird @process
We have hideaways in the woods here too. You're always welcome!

Hideaways with health care...

The downside is that all the babes here would be swooning over your accent. Amy would be perpetually annoyed. π
@FrankCannon @q00w2 @homebird @process
Of course: it's universal. Nothing sexier than a Scouse accent. Except for a Donegal accent, a fact that has been proven by science. I believe we've discussed this before...π
@LiseL @FrankCannon @q00w2 @homebird
I'll have to remember to use my Country brogue then π
@FrankCannon @q00w2 @homebird @process
I know it. But here you sound like the fab four, so we swoon.
@FrankCannon @LiseL @q00w2 @homebird
London in the 90s was great craic having a Northern Irish Accent.
"Hello do you know where..."

I bet. π

Wow, hadn't thought of that. π¬

Every feckin time. Having long hair and looking like I'd done a stint in Long Kesh probably didn't do me any favours tbh.
@FrankCannon @LiseL @q00w2 @homebird
It came in handy if someone started on you. Just start speaking and they backed down. But yeah, was never great speaking near a Policeman. 101 questions.
@homebird I haven't lived in Liverpool for over 40 years now,still have the accent.π @process @q00w2
