OK, I just heard from my brother that the Smithsonian's copy of Pelagornis sandersi (1,2👇) has been placed in storage and is no longer on display there. So, if you want to see the biggest bird that ever flew, you'll have to come to Charleston, South Carolina. You'll find it at the Charleston Museum (3,4), 360 Meeting St., where it's on permanent display. 🙂
