After my last cycling injury, I am reconsidering my road #EBiking. I still have my stationary bike--now moved into my workout room (the basement).
My wife says she is worried about me and she has a few good concrete reasons.
Her probing me on my last accident led me to conclude that it was a natural incident likely to happen again,
Statistically, it's not that my age group has MORE cycling accidents, only that they are more injurious. I experienced this painfully for WEEKS.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN One of my brothers flew forward over the handlebars of his mountain bike and broke his collar bone a few years ago. Metal plate, etc...

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN My brother who broke his collar bone is now in his mid 60s and has found other hobbies.
Same — I was “lucky” that I “only” knocked out my two front teeth (sing along 😏) and badly bruised/sprained my wrists/hands via the faceplant. Had to squeeze racquetballs for a week or two before I could play guitar again. THAT sucked.
