i've dealt with goats. they love oats.
once when ours had wandered far around the bay, and we had to capture/bring them back by rowboat. oats, oats, lots of oats.

also, he could give billy a hint of what's to come if he rubbed the nannys with a towel before he gets billy and let him have a sniff, tell him where they're going. goats are quite intelligent, which is why they're stubborn. cats, eh?
