2) Read local news, & apprise yourself of local needs. Get to know the difference-makers close to home!

3) Be kind to yourselves, today and always. Only then are we best prepared to seek justice where we can. ❤️

So. A Christmas story.

Xmas morning, I go out to buy a faucet part. In front of my building, a young shirtless man is lying on the ground, arms outstretched and crying. Standing over him: two police officers, two women with big dogs from my building complex, & a security guard I know is tough on beggars. The man is weeping "Venezuelans are humans." My heart sinks. Five adults clearly escalated what could have been handled with a little compassion. (And on a day everyone goes on about, too!) /x
