But every help system ALWAYS says the call volume is higher than normal. Mathematically, that’s not possible.

OneDrive, OneDrive,
How do I loathe thee?
Let me count the ways.

Uh, Microsoft? I have a question. For years now, every time you change the TOS, you say you’re making it “clearer.” What’s so hard about clear communications?

(Answer: “We don’t want it to be clear. We have to keep updating our obfuscation terminology.”)

Weekend Thought Experiment for Business Owners

Years ago I wrote an article titled, "Encryption: The Security of Last Resort" and it's still relevant.

"Bob, why don't you put everything in the cloud and use SaaS?"

"Well, because some of us have decided not to adopt the most insecure information systems architecture ever conceived."

Great I sold my Intel shares yesterday. This morning I wake up to news that it jumped 8 percent.

I don't know how people who don't carry pocket knives get anything done. They're so useful! For example, I just replaced the magenta ink cartridge in my printer. There was a little notch in the plastic wrapper to pull it open, but it tore funny and I still couldn't get the cartridge out. Solution: pocket knife!

I donated to the Harris/Walz campaign, and I think I must have mistyped my email address. I got the notice from my bank, so I know the payment went through, but I haven't received any sort of email from the campaign. This can only mean I mistyped my email. Looking back on it, I don't regret it at all. They got the donation, but I don't have to put up with all the spam from the DNC.

FLOWCHART: Has your Social Security Number been leaked online?
(humor)

I am so grateful that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. didn’t endorse me for President. Every four years I run as a write-in candidate, and his endorsement would’ve ruined my chances of winning this November.

My wife @quarterquart just joined CoSo! She'll write an introductory post later, but I'll go ahead and mention that she loves to crochet, so if you're into that you'll get along nicely.

@th3j35t3r My wife is trying to set up her CoSo account (yay!) and she got a "banned IP" message. It has to be from coming from the same IP as me, so maybe seeing duplicates is causing the problem. Just thought I'd let you know.

If you log into your bank account(s) and set up text alerts for all transactions, you’ll know instantly if a criminal is using your account. You can call the bank and take immediate action.

In light of the recent news about Social Security numbers being exposed for pretty much every American: you can take one step that will substantially reduce your risk and make that information less valuable to the cybercriminal. Turn on text alerts for all of your financial transactions. They’re fast! When I pump gas, I get the text alert before I even get back in the car.

Let me tell you the tale of a former President’s wife, atom bombs, a nuclear submarine, and programming in COBOL…
