Uh, Microsoft? I have a question. For years now, every time you change the TOS, you say you’re making it “clearer.” What’s so hard about clear communications?
(Answer: “We don’t want it to be clear. We have to keep updating our obfuscation terminology.”)
@paxterrarum
Contract lawyers brag about how complex and confusing they can make their TOS or other legal agreements. It’s like they get paid by the word
@paxterrarum Hey, hey, you forgot the *other* reason...
So they can continue making the terms of the so-called "Agreement" increasingly worse for the users and better for Microsoft as a company... because enshittification isn't just a phenomenon anymore, it's the whole philosophy of modern business.
