Good night, CoSo fam! 😊 🐿️

POLITICS: "I'm not democrat, I'm not republican, but, I'm in favor of democracy, and USA must get rid of Trump, cause he's the poison of nation, and he can't be candidate to occupy The White House again, it would be a madness!"

(Remember that feeling you got when the second plane hit the WTC on 9/11 and you realized what was going on? You should have that same feeling in the pit of your stomach again right now.)

"Former President Donald Trump has refused to sign an optional oath that he will not "advocate the overthrow of the government" ahead of the 2024 election, according to an analysis from radio station WBEZ and the Chicago Sun-Times on Saturday."

This story broke just a few days before Christmas.

"Seven children and five dogs have been rescued from a south Edmonton home, where police allege they endured years of physical and emotional abuse and torture at the hands of three adults."

The idea that this could have been going on for years without anyone being aware of it is really bothering me. I mean the houses here are built so close together you can't help but hear what your neighbors are up to.

One of the things I really like about it here at CoSo, is that we can still be friends, or at least respectful, even when we don't agree on everything.

Very few years ago, the joke was "What do lefties hate more than far-righties? Lefties with a tiny bit different opinion on lefty politics."

I feel like that's not the norm here. I feel like we can still be on the same side because of what we agree on, instead of opposed over what we disagree about.

Thank you.

You restore my spirit.

As a general rule of democracy: Don't vote for people who thought they might need a presidential pardon following a violent insurrection that attempted to overthrow your democracy.

January 6th is the day we all get together as Americans and say with one voice: Trump lost.

Since today is the day many of us take our decorations down, this is a timely article from the BBC:

The joy of 'cosycore' and hunkering down

What if January is, in fact, exactly the wrong moment for "new year, new you"? In the northern hemisphere at least, January is bad enough as it is: it's cold, it's dark, and Christmas and new year have probably left you exhausted and broke… none of which scream "unlimited sources of willpower and energy".
