The Parkland, Florida Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, which killed 17 people, should've been a wake-up call. But sadly we learned it was not enough. Any more than the Memphis murder of Tyre Nichols beating death will slow the killing of blacks by police in the US.ollowing
@normsmusic Five police officers have been charged with murder. Three firefighters who were first responders have also been suspended. And there's another I've forgotten.
That's not nothing. There's some progress here. I think the Derek Chauvin case and subsequent rioting and burning down of the police department was finally something of a wake-up call.
They're afraid of the people. Good.
