Today, the World will come together and realize we will not make it if we keep fighting each other, if we keep looking for enemies when we should be making friends, if we keep forcing economies to make winners and losers, and if we keep just pushing problems to the next generation. Today, the World will awaken and say 'We are Adulting our way through this.'

as i recall, it's releasing that pressure plate--or at least it used to be so. If you stepped on it, you had to maintain the same pressure to *keep* it pressed down until help could come or you gave out physically/gave up mentally.

@process
Thank God/s the Russian soldiers never learned tactics from NVA & Khmer Rouge from that era!
During US-VietNam 'conflict' (WAR) every one of those would have been tied together with tripwires set to release if even *one* was slightly moved/touched.

@process

some random tweeter's childhood experiences don't make this mum's situation "acceptable" or "tolerable" in modern society!
Where are the suggestions for help, for coping strategies, for BASIC HUMAN COMPASSION????
Twitter's virulent mainsteaam posters like that one are f-ing *REPULSIVE*.

"The Intl Atomic Energy Agency said Thurs that Russian forces have almost entirely left site of former Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, where officials said they were exposed to "significant doses" of radiation since taking over the site in late Feb."
(NOTE: I realise that Common Dreams leans heavily left; but, they have VERY high accuracy & credibility ratings. (Double-checked with Axios media bias fact-check.))

First up, breaking information from NOAA National Weather Service for San Juan Puerto Rico.

Effective April 3rd 2022

"Service in San Juan, Puerto Rico will be down for approximately two weeks for an important upgrade. This work was attempted in December but could not be completed due to poor weather.

Technicians will refurbish and replace the pedestal, one of the most critical components of the radar, which is necessary for antenna rotation and positioning to capture data in all directions."

@BreakingNews

(Russian Shelling of designated Humanitarian/Refugee Corridors notwithstanding...)😑
