If we cut off Russia exports of oil over seas- they wont last long.

Its their main source of revenue is it not along with natural gas?

yes.
problem arises in the level of dependence across Europe on Russian oil.
Netherlands for example are 95% fossil-fuel dependent (as f 2019 data) and at least 7% of their total imported oil (bbl/month) is Russian. immediately, they have to cover that from another source. not so easy and VERY expensive. Germany's in a worse position with both Russian pipelines...

This will motivate people to get off fossil fuels faster too.

there's no excuse for the Netherlands still being 95% dependent on fossil fuel for al it's energy production in this day & climate--same goes for a whole lot of other nations.
i LOVE the UK's Sea-based wind farm, and it's WORKING WELL! is it perfect, hell no, and it has impact and risks-but what project on that scale does not?
