ahh, that would be the NC State GOP. They groomed him to take up the mantle as the "new blood of NC" in the House...
I think they wre hoping for a new Jesse Helms, but got someone that makes chronic public mistakes of trust to his own base. Something Helms was was versed in avoiding for his 30 corrupt/controlling years in the Senate.

to answer your question, it's a coalition of the "Freshman" members of Congress. He was sent as front man to CNN.
(Side note: Boebert has not appeared in anything but small-time YT-style interviews with controlled questions from her home.)
