Today is the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, the day the Antifa Slovaks rose up and tried to kick out the Nazis and their puppet government.

The uprising failed because Stalin sat on his ass and failed to provide logistics. He did this for the cruelest of reasons - waiting meant he could get prepared to bring all of Czechoslovakia under his thumb, which he ultimately did.

It’s such a great treat to have a proper Kansas City BBQ joint here in town. The ribs and brisket are full of flavor and smoky goodness. The mac and cheese and potato salad complement the meat incredibly well. I snuck a peek at the Moberg smoker they use - My goodness!!!
