Today is my . 49 legitimate big ones. Born on a Friday in 1975.

Iโ€™m thankful and grateful for CoSo and meeting so many of you virtually here.

Question for you all because

I have a friend. Sheโ€™s such a good person. She has a tremendous heart and often thinks of others before herself. Lifeโ€™s been good for her, and at the same time, others take advantage of her kindness and generosity. The question she asks herself is โ€œWhen is it going to be my turn?โ€

I was wondering if any of you brilliant minds had any advice I could give her. Right now, my reply to her question is โ€œYou gotta take it to have it be your turn.โ€

Ideas?

I have โ€œ2023 Survivor Guilt.โ€

I thrived this year โ€” personally, professionally, and emotionally.

I know and see all the pain and struggling in the world. It seems like the bigots and the fascists are right at the cusp of victory, money is tight, and the world is falling apart.

Either way, these times shall pass.

Happiest of New Year in 2024 to all CoSoNauts. I wish you peace, health, prosperity, and community.

Ah yes. Then he bought it.

There are a few amazing people on here I would love to meet in person one day. Itโ€™s not likely to happen, but at least just to raise a glass or a cup and say โ€œThanks for being you.โ€

Happy Birthday, CoSo! Thanks for being you!

Not only do we fully accept the message, it also means messages like โ€œreject fascists!โ€ arenโ€™t gonna get a lot of play around here.

This is also why

The usual boilerplate from the regular voices just doesnโ€™t cut it. CoSoNauts are a bunch more educated about the issues and bringing about change in our communities, districts, and states.

Thanks for being you. Stay tuned for the next poll at sometime soon.

No surprises whatsoever on the results.

Note the following: a poll with 24 respondents out of the CoSo population of 165,000+ has a margin of error of +/- 20%. Not very scientific results per se.

But that gets to the point of the survey.

When someone reduces down to soundbites and memes, itโ€™s worth it to check that message against the pulse of the community it serves.

This is why .

โ€œSo where are we all supposed to go now? / Itโ€™s the end of a social era on the web. Thatโ€™s probably a good thing. But I already miss the places that felt like everyone was there.โ€

TL:DR - He pines for a public town square. He wants it as โ€œeveryone is hereโ€ and โ€œyouโ€™re still in control.โ€

My opinion? Thatโ€™s probably not CoSo. Everyone canโ€™t be here - ask all the :trollsplat:
However, you are still in control.

Thoughts?

I took a bit of a holiday look-away from real social media and .

Lukashenko may or may not be dead. Either way, Belarus is not a functional state. I have a tough time believing they could organize a state funeral, let alone an attack into northern .

Biden won the debt deal. Thatโ€™s that.

Hope you all are enjoying loved ones and practicing some self-care.
