There’s actually only pennies to be made from the printed versions, with the ebooks only slightly more profitable

I’ll never make a living from them, but it’s more about people reading and enjoying them

I was sure you didn't make much from either, but wondered which was better. I mostly read e-books, especially on airplanes now.

I’ve learned so much about the publishing industry in the last couple of years. There are so many excellent authors whose work is never seen because they spend their whole lives chasing agents, and publishers, and contracts that will never materialise. It must be soul destroying for them. One gatekeeper after another.
It’s also amazing how so many books sell so few copies. I’m sure I read that 90% of published books sell less than 100 copies per year, but don’t quote me on that 😂
