I've been testing Starlink as a backup Internet connection, but today I cancelled service and gave a reason of "other":

(1) Inability to keep satellites in orbit (yeah, space weather is hard)
(2) Unreliable as a backup Internet service due to gaps in coverage.
(3) High cost for quality of the service
(4) Damage to astronomy.
(5) Addition of space junk.
(6) Elon Musk's arrogance.
(7) Elon Musk's shitty management style.

I know it's tempting to think that if Elon makes it to Mars we would be rid of him. That would be incorrect.

We can't let Elon get to Mars. First, he'll claim the whole planet for himself. Second, through a series of poor decisions, he will deorbit Mars straight into Earth's path.

@Gardenthymeherbs I don't understand why DeJoy is still there, either. The US Postal Service is an essential service and supports our National Response Framework. IOW, it's a critical piece of our ability to respond to disasters and emergencies. We need it more than most people realize.

I saw others coming to my same realization.

It was my mistake to wait until the last day to get my ballot in the mail, but you would think that in a relatively voter-friendly state like CA, the boxes would be open before work for commuters.
