I sometimes come across old tweets of mine and think I'm the most random fucker ever when everything is patently horrible.
@cephalopie Well the kid went on TV and said CNN had "asked him to write a speech", which was patently untrue. At least the dad admitted it.
@cephalopie Whatever happened to that one kid who went on TV and lied about CNN writing his questions for the Q&A? He kinda vanished after that, it seems.
I have stenosis - narrowing of the major nerve sheath - at C5-C7 in my neck, causing pain in my neck and down my left arm. Nothing helps; painkillers don't even touch it. So I said on Twitter "someone send me a book and a pizza" because I've been living off of oranges and miso soup the past several days.
A guy actually sent me a $50 gift cert for Amazon and $50 towards pizzas to my email address!
INTERNET DELIVERS!!!
I love you guys for being nice to me when I'm feeling like a cripple <3
@th3j35t3r Granted we have no idea who you are, but the actual person very rarely fills (let alone adds to to) the romance of a perceived character. And it sucks to have your privacy compromised - you effectively invite every noob on earth to take a shot at making your life hell. No one in your position gets this far without developing a shitload of haters. Puny individually, but en masse, they're damaging - not just to you, but to those in your life, as well.
But you know all this.
Everything this dumbass chick did is like literally "how to own yourself online 101"."
You know, like maybe if you're trying to live a double life as a white supremacist don't post your picture on your racist accounts? And maybe fudge stuff like your location, occupation, and age?
Ffs I find her rank stupidity more offensive than her views.
It's kinda funny. I'm a near-middle political centrist. Libertarian on social issues, lean conservative on financial and certain justice issues. But I tend to side with Democrats (especially as of 2016) because they're the less harmful of two stupids. Insipid, but not so aggressively a pain in my personal ass as the GOP.
Still, most of the political figures I follow are Republicans. When they're good, they're rad, but I HATE the GOP. Yet I don't like any individual Dems much.
So confusing.
@MorningMoon Well, coincidentally enough (sarcasm) the Army decided to transfer him overseas right after the threat happened. So that was easy, at least.
@MorningMoon Oh yeah I jumped ship and he's on the other side of the country.
So what did I do?
- Told his First Segeant confidentially, trying to get him help without fucking up his career.
- Told his commander when that didn't work.
- Told his LTC once he made the threat against his CSM, at which point I moved the fuck out.
- Told the federal agent who interviewed me for his security clearance a year later.
Result: He's still in the Army, still has his clearance, and still has his weapons now that the DVPO has expired.
That's how seriously they take these things.
Everybody is like "why were so many red flags missed by law enforcement?" re: the Florida shooter.
Ha. Lemme tell you about my exhusband.
Army Ranger w/a TBI.
Obsessively collects firearms. Had 18 rifles last I knew of.
Severe alcoholic.
Bipolar. The Army put him on anti-psychotics. Sent home early from a deployment for having a psychotic break. Multiple "voluntary" inpatient stays.
Told me he was planning to shoot his CSM.
Domestic violence restraining order (from me).
(cont...1 of 2)
Pfft whatever, those are crisis hockey players.
@Random_fool @Dane We have two parties whose only agenda is being anti-whatever the other party wants, at this point.
"Anti" is not an agenda.
@mockingbird Sure.
CoSo user #53. Anti-fascist. Leftist.
The little engine that wished a motherfucker would. Hands rated "E" for everybody.
