So what did I do?
- Told his First Segeant confidentially, trying to get him help without fucking up his career.
- Told his commander when that didn't work.
- Told his LTC once he made the threat against his CSM, at which point I moved the fuck out.
- Told the federal agent who interviewed me for his security clearance a year later.
Result: He's still in the Army, still has his clearance, and still has his weapons now that the DVPO has expired.
That's how seriously they take these things.
@malice Hope you are safe and well away.
@MorningMoon Oh yeah I jumped ship and he's on the other side of the country.
@malice Speaking from experience I know how hard it is to get away from an abuser. Glad you were able to get away.
@MorningMoon Well, coincidentally enough (sarcasm) the Army decided to transfer him overseas right after the threat happened. So that was easy, at least.
@malice Good. You were lucky.
So anyway, yeah, color me surprised. Apparently being a raging nutjob is just, you know, "boys will be boys"! 💀
