@VelvetDuchess I just read this story, so they know for sure it was a suicide? So sad. You seem to be the one to ask, how does South Korea handle mental health? Is there a stigma? The only thing I have heard about is body image and how K-Pop sometimes breeds ED.

• 1974: Ronald J. DeFeo Jr. killed his parents and four siblings in Amityville, New York, inspiring the book and films “The Amityville Horror.” DeFeo was convicted and received six sentences of 25 years to life, and he died in prison in 2021.
As a followup to my Caritas post let me point out that not all states endorce open adoption. Some states, and I believe Illinois is one of them, are closed adoption states, although I believe my state does have a registry so when the child turns 18 they, or the biological parents can put themselves on there if they want to be found. If MAGA wants more women to consider the adoption option then choice is needed and the private adoption attorneys who solicit through print ads need regulation.

Bluesky only used with a VPN, ProtonPass-created email address, Bitwarden-created password. I checked in to see what my peeps are up to, and my quest to get people here instead of there continues!

I keep seeing these annoying ads on YouTube for an organization called Caritas. Its purpose is to encourage adoption. The ad shows a military mom of color discovering she's pregnant and the White family who adopts the child. All is sugarcoated, the kid knows she's adopted and loves her parents. Heck, bio mom even gets to attend her birthday. Why YouTube, why?!? And nice try Catholic Church. MAGAS promote adoption and CP Centers but you never hear of them taking these kids in.

When I see people with
a) no real knowledge
b) naive understanding of government
c) who made money on Trump tax cuts
d) no sense of history
I tend to not listen. If someone is making more than $800,000 a year, they will be happy with Trump.
The rest of us are going to suffer. Especially if we are old, not white or poor.
The idea this will just be the same is absurd. He learned from his mistakes as did his people.
It’s going to be a whole lot worse.
@MrsDanaD @feloneouscat @LindaWisner There are days I want to cry, but I stop myself because tears just distract from what we need to be doing which is standing up for women, for immigrants facing deportation, for Muslims in Israel for LGBTQI+ people, for African Americans, for the poor, for the elderly, and the disabled (Of which I am!).
