I realize I can talk about more than just politics here. So let me introduce my baby. Her name is Amelia. She's a 7 year old Teacup Maltese. I adopted her a few years ago from a rehoming situation. She's my bestie and follows mom everywhere. She also adores her grandma, especially when she has peanut butter toast.🐶 🍖

For those who haven't voted yet I urge you to read your ballots carefully on election day and do a little research before you go to the polls. Some states and jurisdictions have judgeships coming up. Don't be afraid to say no to retaining Republican judges particularly if they got their seats during the Trump era. Also, carefully research and read about any referendums. Sometimes they are worded in ways that are confusing on ballots so you should know what you're voting for.

@catlynne333 Nevada arresting and jailing a woman based on an archaic law because they think she tried to self abort her baby (Either using illicit drugs or home remedies) when she says she actually had a miscarriage at home qualifies as well. And I don't think the prosecution ever could prove that the baby was alive to begin with. They also held it against her that the event occurred at home not in a hospital or medical facility.

@zenmudprod Thank you. I posted the hotline number for Illinois to my SM channels. My state is a mixed bag. Upstate like in Cook County the tone will be very Democratic leaning towards Harris. However, downstate (I live in Central Illinois) we have more Trumpers. I remember people telling me in 2016 that there was some intimidation, nothing violent, but still scary. I want to be sure my people know who to call if anything similar occurs this time.

If you didn't do early voting or vote by mail (I did) then look in your newspaper, watch your local news channel, or check online to confirm your voting hours on election day. Make sure the information on your voter ID and state ID or DL matches. Make sure the polling place on your voter ID hasn't changed (In my town they frequently do). At the polls, follow all instructions so your ballot isn't disqualified or misread. Ask poll workers if you need help or assistance.
