I wonder if what we're seeing and experiencing in the world is the end point of the hero story. Like, where its played out over and over to the point where we have to come up with (or embrace) the idea of the network, the community. The group rather than the individual.

@lilyunsub that implies intelligence. I'm not convinced that our current slate of world leaders could find their way out of a wet paper bag if you gave them a map, and a nudge in the correct direction.
@JGNWYRK but that also leans in to the society that believes in leaders, the hero story. Rather than a collective, a community. Cos they can't/won't fix anything, broken systems got us here in the first place. The cult of the individual. Reinforced by isolation.
