Drinking Fresh Roasted Coffee's Tiger Nebula blend (https://www.freshroastedcoffee.com/collections/coffee-pods/products/tiger-nebula-coffee-pods) and watching a DVR-delayed version of the Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix. The U.S.-based Haas team isn't doing very well at all. 😭
While CoSo was offline, I bought an actual tea tray. Much nicer than the cookie sheet I was using for my tea paraphernalia.
Organic Red Snail Black Tea wasn't getting the job done (only 40% the caffeine of a cup of coffee), so I went for a cup of Dark Mexican Chiapas from the Keurig machine. Now I'm having a paradoxical reaction - the coffee is knocking me out. Go figure.
Organic Red Snail Black Tea finished. I love the way that it sweetens up naturally (i.e., with no added sweeteners) toward the end of the cup.
This morning is an Organic Red Snail Black Tea morning. Mellow, mellow tea with the kick placed in just the right spot.
Tiger Nebula coffee isn't cutting through Barr's bullshit this morning.
Busy morning, busy day. Getting ready early with breakfast and a cup of Tiger Nebula blend from Fresh Roasted Coffee (lighter roast, more caffeine). Gotta get tickets to the 2020 NHL Winter Classic at 10:00 a.m., then have pre-op tests run for my partial toe amputation run at 11:00 a.m. at the hospital. After that, I've got an afternoon appointment with the foot surgeon. Many caffeine infusions will be required throughout the day.
A very quick cup of Dark Mexican Chiapas today - got to get ready for an appointment with my pain management specialist.
Dark Mexican Chiapas from the Keurig machine.
A jacket, because it's farking cold in here.
Some tea mixed with chicha morada to chase down the coffee.
Still not working right. (kicks the starter again)
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. For when you don't want to wake up all the way.
Propping myself up this afternoon with a 4-minute cup of genmaicha. Not the most caffeinated tea you can get, but still a nice cuppa to shake off the blahs.
A couple of cups of Red Snail Black Tea from Teavivre have kept me going through an otherwise "I Have No Life" day today. I'm very gracious for it, and thankful for a very tasty tea. Good, good stuff.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the beans of Java the thoughts acquire speed,
The hands acquire shaking,
The shaking becomes a warning.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
(oldie but goodie)
Good morning. Trying to clear the mind haze with some Tiger Nebula blend coffee. Still tastes "unobtrusive," but it's a medium roast, which means more caffeine.
Dark Mexican Chiapas varietal from the Keurig machine at my right. TV news with the storm forecast to my left. CoSo in front of me.
Yep, I'm steeled for the morning.
Doubling up on the caffeine this morning. Tried a different blend from Fresh Roasted Coffee - "Tiger Nebula." Best way to describe it is "unobtrusive."
Following it up with something more familiar - Adagio's masala chai. Waking and relaxing simultaneously. Puts a mind in the mood for the weirdness that is life in the Trump Era (shudder) (takes another sip) (ahhh).
DAMN, that was a good cup of tea!
Moving on to more esoteric modes of caffeine delivery systems, now trying Organic Red Snail Black Tea from Teavivre. A good, basic, dark breakfast tea, good for what ails ye if you're not yet awake.
Today's caffeine of choice: Dark Mexican varietal from the Keurig machine. Needed while watching a line of storms roll across my neighborhood.
Having a hard time staying awake this morning. I think my shoebox full of medications is partly to blame. Resorting to a nice, dark cup of Guangxi Liu Bao Cha Dark Tea from Teavivre, with a few of Adagio's tea sugar crystals dropped in for good measure. Wish me luck.
