I'm home after spending the whole weekend in the hospital. They admitted me from the ER and put me on IV Lasix. I wound up losing 13 *pounds* from my swollen legs, but at a price - I developed phlebitis in a vein in my right elbow. They ran ultrasounds on my legs and elbow, plus an echocardiogram on my heart. No DVTs, and no cause found for the swelling. Told me to follow up with a vein specialist.
@leejackson So sorry to hear of this glad you are home keeping good thoughts for you for healing.
@leejackson a helpful tool is your bathroom scale. Something sensitive to .1 lb. Slight changes up/down reflects fluid. I have times when I give mom extra Lasix if she gains 2lb in a day or 5lb i a week. Definitely follow up!!

@leejackson Glad you got the IV lasix. If they gave you ted hose to wear, make sure you put it on before you get out of bed in the morning. Agree with weighing yourself daily and I imagine they said to watch sodium. Hope the vein specialist has information for you. Much love and 🙏🏽 for some relief!! xoxo
