The Taliban are just as concerned with Islamism as they are with Pashtunwali and if either can be used as a justification for barbarism, they will use it. As I recall, lying is anti-Islam as well and they made several promises to preserve the rights of female Afghanis. I fear that they will have to have a people power movement to stop this gross, regressive sham government.
