I was away this week, and my son looked after the dogs. The separation anxiety made things difficult.

But fortunately, I got over it eventually.

The dogs, on the other hand, might not have realized I was gone. 😂

Last night the heavens threw an amazing celestial celebration in honor of the appeals court telling Steve Bannon he has to go to jail! 🥳

When my kids act up on a plane or in a grocery store I just say “excuse them, they are rescues.”

I went to bed last night thinking “I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and have some coffee!”

And here we are! 🥳

My running and diet change has paid dividends. This morning I passed an important milestone by breaking through the 200 lb barrier to 199. I am down 15 pounds over the past 5 weeks and I am sticking with the program until I am below 180.

Yesterday morning my coffee grinder cashed in its ticket. RIP trusty sidekick. Fortunately my go-to online equipment shop has a spring sale on for Eureka grinders. Unfortunately, even with 30% off I spent over $800.

I have a hand-grinder that I bought for coffee emergencies so I put it to use for a pour over. It worked ok but I miss my espresso.
