CNN reports that McCarthy's latest concession allows for the debt ceiling to NOT be raised. This would trigger a default of the US Treasury and throw the economy into further chaos.

Then Keith Self would be the first to drop and change his vote for McCarthy.

Then it's going to be a shit show of "Presents" and erroneous votes on part of the Rs trying to do the math as they approach the end.

Keep your eyes on these R's to see if they vote "Present". That would mean McCarthy has a plan to force the hand of the remaining hold-outs to vote for him or allow Jeffreys to win.

yet, if there are enough that don't vote until they are called out at the end, they may have enough time to figure out what is happening and vote for McCarthy.

435 were counted yesterday.

If the quorum was defined by merely counting more than 218, then maybe they just stopped voting.

Otherwise only 175 are required to win the vote for the Speaker of the House.
