Good government should be boring.

We should also separate our national identity from those that govern. This is why celebrities are often considered potential candidates. Foolish from a governance perspective. But, probably a primal desire to have people you respect be those that represent your identity.
This is one reason why so many support the strong-man Trump image, and thus the man.
