Good government should be boring.
@Stonekettle ACCURATE! I don't want to be entertained by 'D' list politicians. I want to be governed and led by the BEST. That's what I pay for. I'm the employer and the politician is the employee...NOT the other way around.

We should also separate our national identity from those that govern. This is why celebrities are often considered potential candidates. Foolish from a governance perspective. But, probably a primal desire to have people you respect be those that represent your identity.
This is one reason why so many support the strong-man Trump image, and thus the man.
