@cassandra17lina sweet ride!!! I'm going to follow you I want to know how you like after a few months.
@macentee true.
@DisasterOracle get well soon! Lots of liquids!
@DisasterOracle maybe it's acid reflux. I'm not a doctor, only play one on CoSo. Check with your doctor, it could cause an ulcer.
@SQLAllFather I know this guy from the bird!!!
@Jeber thank you!
@MarvelousMadi13 welcome aboard!
@Bowiegrrl1 whoa!
@GlitteryFab I completely understand. I have strive the last 20 years to raise two independent women. My two daughters are extremely strong!
@Jeber how does the average Joe check out these stats?
@freakinbox I have a low income housing complex a block away. I love it! We need more housing and to drop the stigma. I grew up poor though so poor people don't bother me.
You should also remove or change any personal identifying information that's part of your profile: personal name, phone number, address, email. There are plenty of sites out there that will create a temporary (like 10-minute) email for you, that can receive verifications, to allow you to change your email to something completely useless to the system.
The best way to make it useless is to delete as much of that as you can: remove follows and followers and delete response-tweets; stop 'liking' posts.
It's especially the high-profile people who pride themselves on their huge numbers of followers who need to be off your following list, because they *will* take notice when their follower numbers drop.
A thing to remember about the Bird, and many other supposedly free social media sites, is that the monetizable information about you (which is what really gets sold and bought) is not anything anybody writes. Rather, it's all the connections you make (follows, followers, likes, comments on other people's posts) that identify you as part of a number of overlapping groups.
If you just shut your account, that information is still there.
@ianrobo let's be honest, the blue checkmarks make money off of us being there.
@Lulu1123 I was watching the other day with my daughter and they were mentioning crime is a huge problem. She says I didn't know it was a problem and I had to explain those folks have an agenda. It was a great teaching moment. My daughter's #1 concern reproductive rights. I told her "Exactly!!!!"
