Trump can stop campaigning! His people say he’s way ahead in all the polls (not hardly), so if he loses, the only answer is that the Democrats cheated! He’ll have millions of cultists believe this. And if Joe Biden, senile, faltering Joe, somehow does well in the debate, it’ll be because he got injected with a performance-enhancing drug.

Never before has a major presidential candidate used these big lies to win. But never before have there been millions of people who will believe them!

The price of butter was coming down. Now it’# up again. Did I miss news about a cow shortage?

I wish reporters would stop referring to criminals as, “the gentleman who . . .” They are not “gentlemen,” in any sense of the word! You don’t have to call them perps, mooks, or dirtbags. How about the simple “man”?

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine But strange as it may seem, there are students who don’t have cellphones, iPads, or laptops. So if the teacher depends on such devices for instruction, some students will be left out. If the school decides technology is required in the classroom, they should supply the devices to all - without Apps!

I don’t get it. Only now are schools considering banning cellphones from class? And that’s controversial? Teachers don’t allow reading comic books, playing tic tac toe, listening to music, etc. in class. Why would the constant distraction of cellphones be allowed? For communication during a school-shooter incident will likely be the reason in a parent lawsuit, and that has merit, but there’s gotta be a way to address this issue besides allowing free access to the internet during English class!

Justice Thomas thinks he’s found a way to prohibit gun laws, pointing out that only if there’s an historic precedent for such laws, they can’t be enacted. Well, he doesn’t know his history. Carrying guns was banned within the city limits across the Old West, most famously in Tombstone, Arizona, where the Earps were the enforcers of the city ordinance, which led to the incident at the OK Corral.

@Dane Oh, yeah, I had a few more, but I ran out of characters in the post! ☹️

I’m sure Joe Biden won’t take my advice, but if he did, this is what I would advise him for his debate with Trump:

1, Practice making longer strides when you walk. It’s not that far to the podium. You can do it without shuffling.

2. Keep your finger off your nose, and don’t do those little coughs into your fist.

3.When Trump goes off on a rant, say, “Is this the man you want controlling our nuclear arsenal?”

4. Point out that Trump’s economic promises will actually make inflation worse.

RIP, Willy Mays.

One of my favorite baseball trivia questions: What do Willy Mays, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth have in common? They’re the only three major leaguers who have this in common. Hint: Tom Seaver was almost a fourth.

@catlynne333 Because they’re bending over backwards to show how fair they are. Something that wouldn’t be afforded to anyone else. And certainly not afforded to any Democrat Trump would go after if he were in charge.

@TR_forester6291 So I’m a troll now? What’s with the insult? Never mind. Goodbye.

Uninsured rates among minority groups in the U.S. plunged between 2010 and 2022, according to reports released Friday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The increase in the number of insured people points to the impact of the Affordable Care Act, former President Obama’s signature health law.

thehill.com/policy/healthcare/

The uninsured rate among Black Americans fell from 20.9 percent in 2010 to 10.8 percent in 2022, based on available census data analyzed in the reports.

Among Latinos, the uninsured rate dropped from 32.7 percent to 18 percent and from 32.4 percent to 19.9 percent among American Indians and Alaska Natives during that time.

The uninsured rate among Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders dropped from 16.6 percent to 6.2 percent from 2010 to 2022.

@TR_forester6291 I’ve had several posts the last few days, so don’t know which one - if any - you’re referencing.

Sen. Schumer is on offense (finally), forcing the Republicans to cast votes on access to IVF and contraception. Sen. Thune objects, saying these are political “show” votes. He’s right! The purpose is to “show” how contrary to what the public wants Republican senators are!
