“No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” (H.L. Mencken) This seems to be the Republicans’ credo. Concerned about government spending only when there’s a Democrat in the White House, thinking the public won’t remember the debt incurred under Republican administrations. And thinking they can blame Democrats when they shut down the government. And guess what? They’re probably right!
@danielbsmith When House Republicans shut down the government during the Clinton administration, it didn’t hurt them in the next election. Even though Clinton won another term.
And now, almost half of the American people don’t give a flip about the Trump crime family, but only the corruption of Hunter Biden and the presumed participation of his father in it.
@danielbsmith The majority came out against Trump the last two times. He won the first, came within a few thousand votes in key states of winning the second. That’s the Electoral College for you.
@johnldeboer I think your assessment is incorrect. The loudest voices aren't a majority. When its time to vote the majority will come out against Donald Trump and his circus performers. In the mean time the true majority are simply biding their time.
