I was inspired by @BosmangBeratna so threw together a quick project this afternoon. (I'd accumulated the parts ages ago but hadn't done the build yet.)

- 1x Raspberry Pi 2
- 1x USB GPS receiver
- 2x RTL-SDR dongles
- 1x 1080 MHz antenna
- 1x SMF splitter

Put it all together based on flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/i, and now I can do this:

Follow

* 1090 MHz antenna, though I supposed 1080 would be close enough.

And just set it up to also share the feed with adsb.fi as well:
github.com/adsbfi/adsb-fi-scri

I got a new 1.1m antenna to replace the 0.2m PCB one I had initially specced for mobile use. Can you tell when I hooked up the new one?

@john_b Cool. I've been an amateur radio operator off and on for 45 years. SDRs, and their near limitless possibilities, are what got me back into the hobby in 2017.

@Coctaanatis thanks! Hopefully I can get it back on the road soon... Just need to stop getting sidetracked with *other* projects lol.
