“I got a text that said $$ was taken from my account for a Samsung (not correct, didn’t click on it), but when I searched the message in google, this comes up. Do you think it’s legit?”

Any insight any of you can provide would be helpful.

Adam Savage was recently given a tour of the Royal Society in London. In their basement archives, he views the bound, handwritten manuscript and first edition of Sir Isaac Newton's Principia Mathematica, printed in 1687.

He also gets a flick through of Historia Piscium, the lavishly engraved book published right before Principia Mathematica which blew the Society's publishing budget and almost prevented Newton's book from going to press.

"Why are my pictures uploading sideways?"

Long version: CounterSocial has an embedded feature called the SANITIZER which scrubs your uploaded media of all metadata, including orientation. To fix it, make a minor edit to your photo before uploading. (Crop, resize, recolor, etc.) Or:

I saw messages here that Muskrat is doing what it can to prevent links to CoSo, so I did some experimenting.

I already had https://counter.social/@priestess in my profile. I removed it and tried typing it in again but it was prevented. https://counter.social was also prevented.

I tried typing in some of my own website addresses - no problem except redirects that end up anywhere on counter.social

UPDATE - It's not just us.
