@Silea You do have to be in the right mood; the one good thing about it is that the point is to write a lot of words, not a lot of good words, so it forces you to get out of your own way and just write.

@Urdchan It's fun! I wrote my mediocre self-published novel during NaNo '08. Even if nobody really read it, it's still a fun accomplishment.

@jkfecke One of my daughters does it every year. She just finished with Inktober, too. She is a self published author and not only writes novels but does her own art and writing for graphic novels/manga.
