@singlemaltgirl Our neighbourhood's Buy Nothing group on FB is on FIRE. I love it, and have both given away and gotten tons of stuff that still has loads of life left, and otherwise might have hit the landfill. FB is occasionally useful! 😂

@spacesloth Love you holding that boundary. It's important, both for your mental health, but also for the teams' health, as counterintuitive as that might sound.

I work for a global company, so we're as async as possible to allow everyone to maintain good work/life balance.

Clearly set limits, clearly communicated, go a hell of a long way.

@spacesloth Many of my colleagues are on EST while I'm on PST. We all help each other hold firm boundaries, and have collectively agreed on a set of "core working hours" which are the times we overlap: 9a-2p PST (so Noon-5p EST). This way, we have space to work together, but also respect for the others' time zones. They know not to expect anyone on the Left Coast to answer before noon their time.

Mornings are for coffee (single origin from Moustache Coffee Club) and self-care with my reusable eye masks (seriously love these things (go.shopmy.us/p-700078)).

@WaevetSmaevets Just starting my own coffee in my new coffee maker (the old beloved maker went to that big cafe in the sky recently).

Be gentle with yourself today.

@dauphin87 same. It's one of my "put on in the background" once every few months kind of films.

@JonathanF We'll have to work hard at those bi-coastal cocktails then, I'm in San Francisco.

@JonathanF I have no idea where you're from, but y'all sound an absolute treat!

@JonathanF I have some stories, that's for sure!

(please remember it was over a decade ago and judge me gently 😂 )

@JonathanF Yellow ribbon is another fanfuckingtastic one.

I sang with one of them at the Utah here in San Francisco for one of the open mic nights.

@JonathanF Wow! I rarely meet people who know the Spankers! I hung out with them for a hot minute (dated(ish) one of 'em). Great musicians, helluva sense of humour, most of them.

@Ann_The_Femboy Isn't it? Big city life isn't for everyone, but I sure do like it.

@thewebrecluse Ahh, love me some glass cats! How many gallons are you working with?

@MrsDanaD Ooh, and jerky tends to be a hit around here.

@MrsDanaD I think it depends on your climate, but I like to put out some candy (I use up our halloween leftovers), and some things like hot cocoa or cider packets, figuring that they may not have hot water with them but they likely have some back at their office. Fizzy vitamin C packets (to put in water bottles) work well, too.

@singlemaltgirl Love it!! It's such a low-level lift for high reward.

@singlemaltgirl And I rotate through things, too - I refill when things get low, and put out new options.

People LOVE it. I get folks who would normally just drop deliveries on the porch who ring the bell and wait just to say thank you.

Apparently the UPS drivers all request our route during this time, too!
