What’s a great song from the Seventies?
I always enjoy the Rhino Vinyl videos.
Here’s Sister Golden Hair by America. Their second #1 hit from June 1975.

I’m sure one of you clever people has already done this, but when the Manchurian Cantaloupe said “I am your retribution” it made me think of this!

The lesson I take from this: where there is life, there is hope. Redemption is possible. If you take a chance to make amends for your past mistakes - you might just succeed.

The lyrics of Lay Me Down say it all.

Goin’ Home - This is my favorite Neil Young song. It really hits the spot in the mornings!

I’m traveling to Tennessee for the Christmas holiday. Here’s a little traveling music from my second album.

These songs are like haunted houses. There was life in them - from lyrics that I crafted with my heart and soul. But those lyrics are not there. They remain only as ghosts.

I can hear the lyrics in my mind but I know I may never be able to sing them, and they may never be heard.

Oh - and just for the record, my voice wasn’t anything great to begin with. Once I realized I might never be able to record vocals, I decided to send it out into the world in spite of the fact that it is an incomplete and flawed project.

I wanted to share a little story. In Oct. 2020 I got Covid-19, was sick for 3 weeks. I found out I had some long Covid symptoms - including vocal cord dysfunction.

My voice was weaker, and sounded hoarse.

Not a big deal, except…

I’d spent every free moment of the preceding 15 months recording songs for an album, everything except the lead vocals. Singing was out of the question post C19.

So enjoy the title track from my album - 2020

Music for the zombie apocalypse.

49 second clip of 2 snippets of music I made for no reason other than if I ever needed soundtrack music for a zombie movie!

If Bob Dylan is the greatest singer/songwriter of all time, then who is number 2?

I was going to do a poll but I feared it might set off a

Here are some possibilities:

Joni Mitchell
Neil Young
Dolly Parton
Bruce Springsteen
Taylor Swift
James Taylor
Carole King

Add your own pick in a comment. I’m curious to see what you come up with.

Note this is singer/songwriter - so I didn’t include Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, etc.

This is from one of the best selling albums of all time! She was criticized for being “too angry” when it was released. Every major music label passed on signing her. Just goes to show, the corporate overlords have no idea what they’re doing!

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll rage, what more can you ask for from music?
